We are collecting school supplies for children in Mrs. Cathy Kinley’s classroom at Butler Elementary School on Aug. 28 at worship. Needed items include: 7” scissors, Clorox or Lysol Wipes, #2 Pencils – Plain wood, Color Markers, Color Pencils, Glue Sticks, Pocket Folders, Ballpoint Pens, Tissues, Pink Erasers and Backpacks.
Plan to welcome Rev. Karen Oehl, new Mid-Ohio District Superintendent at one of the following receptions from 2-4PM: Galion First UMC, Aug. 28; Cardington First UMC Sept. 18.
Mid-Ohio is in desperate need of trained and certified Emergency Response persons! East Ohio Conference is offering Emergency Response Training on “Providing a Christian Presence in the Aftermath of Disaster” on October 29, 2011, 8:30 AM at the Epworth Center, Bethesda OH. Cost is $25.00. Lunch is provided. Please contact Pastor Ted for details.
